Happy November 16th, ya’ll! I hope you are well and staying safe out there! I know it’s been a little while since you’ve seen a blog post from me. We took a short hiatus from blogging in the midst of planning for some exciting things to come in 2021, but...WE’RE BACK! It is SO good to say “hello” here again.
So, I’m sure one of your first thoughts may have been, “What’s the significance of “November 16th”? Well, it’s Ivory Lane Interiors’ 4th Anniversary! I simply couldn’t be more thrilled to celebrate with you on this special occasion, and it truly means the world that I get to do what I do — helping my clients realize their visions and create functional and purposeful spaces that are meant to be enjoyed. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for being an integral part of this journey!
Four years ago on this day, I pushed the live button on the Ivory Lane Interiors website and held my breath. So many emotions were felt that day, but 2 of the strongest were pure excitement and, to be honest, anxiousness! I KNEW that taking the leap of faith to begin my own design business was exactly where God wanted me to be. I fully understood that it would be hard work, but work that was meaningful and that perfectly aligned with my passions. On day one, I didn’t have a single client on the books — I was truly building from the ground up. Ya’ll, I’m sure you agree that starting from scratch is scary, but I think that type of vulnerability is also one of the most rewarding and blessed positions.
If you know me, you know my faith plays the most important role in my life. It’s my foundation and permeates into everything I do, every decision I make, and every part of my perspective on life. I knew after graduating with my degree in Interior Design and working for several years in the design industry that I wanted to create something special of my own, and despite any fear of the unknown, I couldn’t simply say I trusted God’s plan — I had to act out of that faith, too.
4 years later, I am just so grateful for everything He has done through this business. That first client did come, and many, many more have come after that. I’ve worked with so many amazing people and have been able to use my passion for residential design in projects that are meaningful for my clients and their homes. I believe that God has blessed me with these opportunities and always try to remember that every good thing has been given by Him.
Speaking of good things, I am so happy to fill you in that we have some EXCITING projects to share very soon! Stay tuned for those — I think you’re going to love what you see! Before that though, I wanted to take a look back at, not only the past 4 years, but specifically what’s been happening this year!
First, a new addition to the Ivory Lane Interiors website — shoppable links! Grab yourself a cupcake (come on, there’s a lot to celebrate here!) and kick back for some easy online shopping. You’ll find some of my VERY favorite furniture and decor recommendations, all organized for your convenience, and best of all - you can purchase without leaving the site!
Second, Ivory Lane Interiors added a brand new service in 2020: Virtual Design! This is an addition that I have been ecstatic about. If bringing an Interior Designer into your home for full service design isn’t currently within your budget, and, frankly, if you want to keep the design process as easy as possible, this service is for YOU! With Virtual Design, we send you design options, direct links for purchasing items online, and furniture plans after you share your measurements and photos. Everything takes place virtually, because, let’s be honest, sometimes you just need total convenience!
Third, renovations and remodels have been a HUGE part of our business this year! From Master Bathrooms to Kitchen overalls, it has been so much fun seeing these vital rooms in homes completely transformed and reinvigorated to properly fit my clients’ lifestyles.
